On February 15th, 2012, Allan McHugh, beloved husband of Shirley passed away at the age of 77 years.
Besides his loving wife Shirley, Allan is survived by his family; son Pat (Debbie) McHugh and their children Briana and Allison of Okotoks, Alberta, daughter Maureen Banks (Lincoln Beamish) of Edson, Alberta and her children Katelyn and Shelby, son Michael McHugh (Julie Minelli) and their children Rebecca and Michelle of Shining Bank, Alberta, son Tim McHugh and his daughter Renee of Edson, Alberta and daughter Barbara (Jim) Hermanson and their children Callie and Brandon of Carrot Creek, Alberta.
Also surviving are his siblings; Carol Paetz and family of Edmonton, Alberta, Audrey (Ken) Moore and family of Calgary, Alberta, Dennis (Deanna) McHugh and family of Ferintosh, Alberta, Frank (Janet) McHugh and family of Sundre, Alberta, Gerald (Marlene) McHugh and family of Edmonton, Alberta and Donald (Bev) McHugh and family of Black Diamond, Alberta.
There are numerous other relatives and a host of friends left to mourn.
Allan was predeceased by his parents, his father Martin James in 1989 and his mother Loretta in 1995 as well as his sister Terrilea McHugh.
Prayer services, and viewing to follow, will be held on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012 at 7:00 PM, at the Foothills Memorial Chapel in Edson, Alberta.
Funeral services for Allan McHugh will take place on Thursday, February 23rd, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edson, Alberta with Father Jim McHugh officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985 – 124 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, T5M 0H9 in memory of James Allan McHugh.
