Friesen, Jake B
Jake Friesen was born on May 7, 1945, and passed away in Edson, Alberta on March 12th, 2014 with his family and friends by his side.
Left to mourn his unexpected passing is his loving wife Claudette Friesen, daughter Daryla Friesen & Bob Pollard, his son Cory Friesen & Kate Gilbert, granddaughters Samantha & Raelyn, also his three sisters, Mary & Daniel Massey, Anne & Allen Greenhalgh, Susan Ostapowich & Barry Towns, one nephew and six nieces.
Jake was predeceased by his son Darren Friesen, and his parents Isaac & Mary Friesen.
Service was held Sunday, March 16th, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Carrot Creek Hall with Pastor George Stone officiating.
A viewing was held the at Foothills Memorial Chapel in Edson, Alberta on March 15, 2014 between 7 and 9 PM.
Funeral service was held Wednesday March 19th, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Omega Funeral Home in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. Interment will follow at 4:30 pm at Rossendale Cemetery.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, c/o The Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton, Alberta T6G 1Z2 in memory of Jake Friesen.
