We are saddened to announce the passing of Irene Tews of Edson, Alberta on July 5th, 2015 at the age of 89 years.
Irene is survived by her loving family; her daughter Ellen Tews of Edson, Alberta and her children Melanie (Todd) LaBlanc and children Ian and Gabrielle of Calgary, Alberta, Burlington (Jacinthe Lucas) Neiffer of Edson, Alberta: her son Dietmar (Anne) Tews of Whitecourt, Alberta and their son Warren (Liane Lukenda) Tews of Edmonton, Alberta and her son Carl (Wendy) Tews of Edson, Alberta.
There are numerous other relatives and a host of friends left to mourn.
Irene was predeceased by her husband Walter in 2009, her parents Johann and Julie Pfau, and her siblings, Otto, Hanna, Olga, Henrietta, Edmund, Gustav and Clara.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 14th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church, Edson, Alberta with Rev. Ann Salmon officiating.
Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.
Viewing will take place at the Foothills Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 13th, 2015 at 7:30 PM.
In lieu of floral tributes, donations can be made to the Edson and District Extended Care Centre, 4716 - 5 Avenue, Edson, Alberta T7E 1S8 in memory of Irene Tews.
