KISTENFEGER, Irene
On October 21st, 2015, Irene Kistenfeger of Edson, Alberta beloved widow of Josef, passed away in Edson at the age of 86 years.
Irene is survived by her loving family: her daughter Josie (Robert) Gunner of Fulham, Alberta and their children Carmen, Erin, Brynn and Andrea and her son Gary (Bernice) Kistenfeger of Lethbridge, Alberta and their children Joel and Ashley.
Also surviving are 7 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Irene was predeceased by her loving husband Josef in 1990 as well, her parents Alois and Josephine Saken and siblings Walter Saken and Hilda Parent.
Cremation has taken place and a “Tea” to honor Irene will be held on Thursday, October 29th, 2015 at The Senior’s Pioneer Cabin, 4836 – 7th Ave., between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of other tributes, the family suggests donations in Irene’s memory be directed to Extended Care and The Edson and District Healthcare Centre, 4716 – 5th Ave., T7E 1S8.
