CARTER, Gerald Woodley
We regret to announce the passing of Gerald Woodley Carter of Edson, Alberta, beloved husband of Kirsten, on January 8th, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Gerald and Kirsten recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Besides his loving wife Kirsten, Gerald is survived by his daughter Natalie (Brian) Briggs and their children Alyssa and Kylie of Calgary, Alberta and his son Dale Carter (Jackie Morton) and his children Zackarie Carter of Edmonton, Kyler and Ryley Morton of Edson, Alberta.
Gerald was predeceased by his parents Henry Carter in 1951, and Kathleen Carter in 1989 as well as his brother Alfred Carter.
Funeral services for Gerald Woodley Carter will take place on Friday, January 13th, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Edson, Alberta with Rev. Kent Horsman officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985 – 124 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T5M 0H9 in memory of Gerald Woodley Carter.
