TILBY, Geoffrey Emery
On February 18th, 2014, Mr, Geoffrey Emery Tilby, long time Edson resident passed away at the age of 96 years.
“Geoff” is survived by his loving wife Estelle, his children, son Ronald (Louise) Tilby, Joan (John) See, Clifford (Sandy) Tilby, all of Edson, Alberta, Joseph (Phyllis) Tilby of Hinton, Alberta and Roger (Joanne) Tilby of Edson, Alberta.
Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren as well as two grandsons and their families in England. Also surviving are his siblings, brother Ted (Joy) Tilby and family of Sydney, British Columbia and sister Elsie Weller and family of Atchison, Alberta.
“Geoff” was predeceased by his first wife Genevieve in May of 1990, two daughters, his parents Cecil and Florence Tilby and siblings Eileen Comm, Vera Dundas and Eric Tilby.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014, at 1:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion in Edson with Rev. Leslie Halliwell officiating. In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Long Term Care, Edson and District Healthcare Centre, 4716 – 5th Ave., Edson, Alberta, T7E 1S8 in memory of Geoffrey Emery Tilby.
