Edward Joseph Arsenault
July 21, 1931 – October 27, 2016
The family of Edward Arsenault sadly announce his passing on October 27, 2016 at the age of 85.
Ed left his childhood home on Prince Edward Island at the age of 17 and joined the army and shortly thereafter was stationed in Korea. When Ed returned to Canada he made his home in Edmonton, Edson and finally in Hinton in 1968. Ed loved Hinton where he was able to enjoy fishing, camping and hunting. Ed also loved to play cards with family and friends, especially cribbage and poker.
Ed leaves behind his children James (Ewa) Arsenault, Collin (Michelle) Arsenault, Cindy (Ken) Schedlosky and Donna (Pat) Winsor. Grandchildren: Joshua, Cody, Nathan, Jessie, Kristien, David and Derek.
Ed is predeceased by his parents Joshua and Maria (Doucette) Arsenault, his wife Yvonne (Archambault) Arsenault, brother Gus (Eleanor), sisters Theresa (Vince), Dorothy (Cy), Frances (Louis) and grandson Storm Arsenault.
In keeping with Ed’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the Home Care staff, nursing staff at the Hinton Hospital and Dr. Hawkwood for the care Ed received over the past year so that he was able to remain at home until his passing.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
