Douglas Markley

On November 12, 2012, Douglas Markley of Edson, AB passed away at the age of 94. Doug was a devoted husband and father, and a loving grandfather and great –grandfather.
Doug is survived by his children; son Wayne (Pat) Markley of Devon, AB, daughter Fay (Robert) Sanders of Edson, AB and daughter Lori Renaud of Edson, AB; grandchildren; Crystal (Rob), Craig (Jill), Jodi (Rob), Bobbi (Mike), Traci, Jordyn and Eric; great-grandchildren; Aaron, Dani, Jesse, Vanessa, Alex, Leilani, Kamryn and Kori. He is also survived by his only sibling, sister, Fran Ganton of Sydney, BC.
Doug was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Gunhilde, in 2005, his son-in-law Marc Renaud in 2003, and his parents, Douglas and Elsie Markley.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service took place on Tuesday, December 18th, 2012 at 2:00 PM in The Foothills Memorial Chapel, 5040 - 6th Ave., Edson, Alberta, with Rev. Kent Horsman officiating. In lieu of floral tributes, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Doug’s memory.
