Dorothy Klaver
June 19, 1929 - June 26, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Dorothy Klaver at the age of 88.
Dorothy grew up in the Netherlands, the 4th eldest from a family of eleven girls. She immigrated to Canada in 1950 with her husband, Alex and their two young daughters, landing at the famous Pier 21 in Halifax. They were relocated to Saskatchewan for work and had four more children. In 1956 they moved to Hinton, Alberta.
She is predeceased by her husband, Alex and leaves behind six children;
Jean (Paul) Sevel, Virginia (Cliff) LaPrairie, Harvey (Charlotte) Klaver, Linda (Joerg) Heinze, Shirley (David) Ford, Ken (Verna) Klaver and eleven grandchildren: Marnie Barrett, Lance O'Grady, Quinn Klaver, Jason Klaver, Justine Klaver-Kibria, Aram Heinze, Emily Heinze, Alex Ford, Jill Ford, Kevin Rasmussen and Travis Rasmussen and many great grandchildren.
The family would also like to thank Dr. Rahn and the wonderful staff at the Good Samaritan.
