ONEIL, Donna May
Mrs. Donna Oneil passed away peacefully on September 16, 2016 at the age of 75 years.
Donna was born in Niton, Alberta the fourth child of Walter and Lillian Badke.
She grew up in Hinton with her two brothers and four sisters. Donna met and married Jim Oneil as a young woman and together they raised four children; James, Murray, Kevin and Elaine all of whom will mourn her passing.
Donna was well known for driving school bus for 28 years and in some cases she hauled three generations of “her kids” to school. She made many friendships from her years of service and was an “honorary mom” to lots of people.
Donna is survived by her children James (Sheri), Murray (Brenda), Kevin and Elaine (Miheal); five grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and so many very dear friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Lillian, her sister Carolyn and by her husband Jim.
Donna will be forever remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her. She left us as peacefully as she lived, with grace, dignity and always thinking of others first.
A time for family and friends to pay their last respects to Donna will be held at the Edson Funeral Home 5040 6th Ave. Edson, Alberta on Friday at 2:00 pm with a celebration of life service following at the Royal Canadian Legion in Hinton, Alberta on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed in her memory to the Cross Cancer Institute at 11560 University Ave. N.W. Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.
