HALLAM, Donna Weir
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Donna Weir Hallam on March 17th, 2015 in Hinton, Alberta at the age of 88 years.
Donna is survived by her family, her son Rod (Lynn) Hallam of Hinton, Alberta and their children Travis (Carly) of Miller’s Lake, Alberta and Scott (Tash) of Hinton, Alberta, her daughter Jane (Randy) Leeson of Hinton, Alberta and their children Jedd (Charlsie) of Hinton and Cam (Eddie) of Ponoka, Alberta.
There are numerous other relatives and a host of friends left to mourn as well.
Donna took great pride in her 40 year public health nursing career and in her family, particularly her four grandsons. She cared for all; especially her Muskeg and Susa Creek patients and treated them as if they were family. Her dynamic personality and quick wit kept all who knew her on their toes and laughing.
Donna was an avid sports fan always with the most up to date stats on the tip of her tongue about both the NHL and CFL. She shared her husband Bob’s love of history and the outdoors.
Donna was predeceased by her husband Robert in 2012 as well as her parents William and Ruby McGhee and several sisters and one brother.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial services are planned for the spring.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta and NWT, 10985 – 124 Street, Edmonton, Alberta – T5M 0H9 in memory of Donna Weir Hallam.
