Donald William Bailer

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Don Bailer announce his passing on 01 March 2020 at the age 84 years.
Don was born on 24 Sept 1935, the first son of Bill and Eva Bailer, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
He is survived by his 3 children: Roger (Marie) Bailer, Rod (Chantal) Bailer, Lory (Ken) Dalueg; 6 grandchildren: Corey (Jacqui) Jonasson, Tanya Jonasson, Patti Dalueg, Brianna Bailer and the twins Bradi and Brian Bailer; 4 great-grandchildren: Chasten & Preston Miller, Soren & Emberly Jonasson.
Don was predeceased by his parents William and Eva Bailer; his brother Jerry Bailer; and his loving wife Lois.
Don enjoyed sports, with his favorites being fastball in the summer and hockey in the winter. His competitive spirit and enjoyment of family will live with us forever.
After a short journey through palliative care, Don peacefully crossed over to be with Lois. Special Thanks to the staff in emergency at the Sturgeon Community Hospital for their compassion, Paula you were a gift to our family, and we will be forever grateful.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkland Lodge Furniture Fund (4619 - 9 Ave, Edson, AB T7E 1R7) or Sturgeon Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care Family Room Fund (201 Boudreau Road, St. Albert Alberta, T8N 6C4). The room allows families the opportunity to spend the final hours and days with loved ones in a private, comfortable, furnished space.
