Denis Lindy Strand passed away peacefully at the age of 73, in Red Deer, Alberta, on November 20th, 2021. Denis was born to Emma & Albert Strand in Edson, Alberta, on September 5th, 1948. He was loved by all who knew him including his siblings John Strand (Yvonne), Lorraine Brazel (Paul), Doug Strand (Fran), Linda Ice (Ted) and Dave Strand (Lorraine), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Denis loved to colour, sing Johnny Cash songs as well as “Jesus Loves Me” and “Amazing Grace”. During his visits with family and while joking with workers Denis’s smile could light up a room.
Denis was predeceased by his mother Emma, brother Doug, father Albert, brother John and sister in-law Yvonne. A graveside service will be held at the Edson Cemetery on December 4th, 2021, at 2:00 pm.
Denis’s family would like to thank the Red Deer Michener Services staff for the years of wonderful care and love they showed Denis.
Denis, you will be missed here on earth, but the celebration in heaven will be full of crayons that don’t break, never ending coffee and music that will keep that smile wide forever. We love you.
