STEEVES, Dawne (Nee Checknita)
March 1st, 1951 – February 5th, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce that Dawne passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2012 after a lengthy illness.
She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband Bud (Byron). She will be remembered in the hearts of those she left behind, her step-son Barry Steeves, step daughter Cheryl Monagas, step granddaughters, Camila and Oriana, her father Mickey Checknita and her brother Garry (Lil) Checknita and family, half sisters Darlene, Phil and Cathy as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her mother Christina Checknita (Joy).
Dawne was a well respected business woman in Edmonton who loved to travel the world. Dawne was cremated on February 7th, 2012 and her ashes will be scattered in Maui, the place she loved best, at a later date.
The family respectfully requests privacy in their grief.
