Remembering Mr. David Allan Wharton
1934 ~ 2017
On January 16th, 2017 shares of Lambs Navy Rum and Browning Arms Co. dropped sharply upon news of the passing of David Alan Wharton.
We suspect many deer will be breathing a sigh of relief.
Born January 23rd, 1934 in Edmonton David is survived by his sisters Patricia McDonald and Frankie Beeston; his “Outfit” Jeffery, Maureen, Lori, Shelley and Carolynn, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as his former spouse Shanne Dyble.
Dave (Deeb) was a respected tradesman and innovator. He loved a good duck hunt, swapping stories with his many chums, puttering in his shop and family gatherings at his place. Dave loved dogs and had many loyal K9 buddies by his side throughout his life.
David was a long time resident of Edmonton, Devils Lake and spent many happy years at Carrot Creek.
He was an incredible father, grandfather and great grandfather. We loved him fiercely. They don’t make them like that anymore, happy hunting.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Edson Hospital Long Term Care and Dorothy for all the amazing care both personal and professional that they provided to our father.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Fish & Game Association, 6924-104 Street Edmonton, AB T6H 2L7.
Celebration of his life to follow at a later date.
