David C.J. Buhler
September 19th, 1958 – February 9th, 2018
After a long battle with COPD, Dave passed away on February 9th, 2018 in Hinton Alberta
at the age of 59. Although he was born in Dryden Ontario, Dave has lived in
Hinton since 1974.
David worked at Gregg River Resources for almost 21 years until they closed
down, then he went back to what he truly loved doing; driving truck. Dave also loved camping, dirt bikes, street bikes, fishing and fixing things.
David is survived by his wife Carol of 37 and a half years; son Andrew (Colleen) and his beautiful grandchildren Jac, Heidi and Maddie; daughter Nicole and brother Gordon; sisters Judy, Sharon, Chris and his father. He was predeceased by his mother Mary; brother Delisle; sister Marilyn and by his mother in law Diane.
Carol, Andrew and Nicole would like to thank Dr. Lee Jones for the wonderful care he provided to Dave right to the end. Also, to Nurse Evette; you were his favourite and it was so fitting that you were on duty that night and by his side. Lastly, to Dr. Dreyer for the care in the emergency room and the rest of the nursing staff- you are all wonderful. Again, thank-you so very much.
In honouring his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of David, memorial donations may be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital. 800 College Plaza 8215 112 St. Edmonton, Alberta T6G 2C8.
