SHEPHERD, Clarence Arthur
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence Arthur Shepherd of Edson, Alberta on July 29th, 2011 at the age of 78 years.
Clarence is survived by his loving family; son Robert (Bonnie) Shepherd of Edson, Alberta, daughter Wanita (Arend) Drieger of Houston, British Columbia, son Gordon (Rena) Shepherd of Burns Lake, British Columbia, son Doug Shepherd of Edmonton, Alberta, daughter Teresa Rich of Kitimat, British Columbia, son Charlie (Blanche) Shepherd of Port Edward, British Columbia, son Larry Shepherd of Edson, Alberta.
There are 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren left to mourn as well as his brothers Horst (Agnes) Shepherd and Bill (Grace) Shepherd and their families and adopted brother Phillip Romeo. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Clarence was predeceased by his parents, his father Arthur on January 16th, 1988, his mother Beatrice on May 29th, 1991 and his brother Tom on December 19th, 2003.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 4th, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Edson United Church with Worship Leader Kimberly Roy officiating and interment of cremated remains will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be directed to The Cross Cancer Institute care of Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Ave. Edmonton, Alberta, T6G 1Z2 in memory of Clarence Arthur Shepherd.
