Christopher (Chris) Steven Hawke
Chris was the beloved husband of Candis; loving father of sons Kevin and Jonathon and daughters Linda and Stephanie. Chris was the youngest of his blended family of nine and made friends wherever he went.
Chris passed away suddenly at the age of 39 on May 19, 2013 in Edson Alberta. He was predeceased by his mother, Linda; both maternal and paternal grandparents and his uncle Robert. Surviving are his father Grahame Sr. and step mother Patricia Hawke; six brothers, Grahame Jr. (Crystal), Gary, Glen, Charlie, Gordon (Penny), Jamie (Dawn); two sisters Annie (Heath), Claudette (Gerry) and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Chris lived in Edson with his mother until the late 1980's, he then moved to Lac La Biche with his father and step mother where he went to school. This is where he met and married his wife and soul mate Candis in August of 1997. The love of the mountains brought Chris and Candis back to Edson in 2011, where they spent many hours enjoying the outdoors as a family.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends
The family has asked that donations be made to the trust fund set up for Chris's children at the CIBC bank in lieu of flowers.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Lion's Hall, Edson, Alberta with Rev. Kimberly Roy presiding.
