In Loving Memory of Cecil (Bud) Allen Gower
September 14th, 1927 – September 30th, 2011
Bud Gower was born in River Hebert, Nova Scotia on September 14th, 1927 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, September 30th, 2011 in the Grande Cache Hospital.
Bud and his loving wife Doris were married on September 14th, 1951and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Doris and Bud moved to Grande Cache in 1969 where Bud worked underground at the mine until his retirement in 1990.
Bud enjoyed many outdoor activites such as camping, fishing and hunting, and spent many winters snowmobiling the Grande Cache areas and beyond.
Bud loved spending time with his family and many friends, and will be greatly missed.
Bud is survived by his wife Doris, daughters Sharon MacKinnon, Donna Bradburn, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services to be held at the Grande Cache United Church on Tuesday October 4th
In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Grande Cache Hospital, Pallitive Care unit can be made in his name.
