WINTER, Barbara Lee
It is with great sadness that Dean Winter and family announces the passing of Barbara Winter on September 7, 2013.
Barb passed away at home with her family by her side at the age of 47 after a short brave battle with cancer.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Dean Winter and their two beautiful daughters, Carissa Winter (Cody) of Red Deer, Alberta and April Winter (Gerald) of Edson, Alberta, one step son Jaimie and her beautiful granddaughter Aubree.
Barbara was the baby of the family and leaves behind one sister Marion Hinks (Ken) of Edson, Alberta. Four Brothers Wayne Burton (Pearl) of New Richmond Quebec, Stan Harrison (Barb) of New Richmond, Quebec. Dean Harrison (Morag) of Edson, Alberta and Allan Harrison (Charmaine) of Edson, Alberta. Brother – in –law David Winter (Tanya) of Edson, Alberta and Father – in- law Clifford Winter of Edson, Alberta.
Barb leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
Barb was predeceased by her parents Jimmy Harrison (1985) and Julia Harrison (2005),
mother –in- law Mary Winter (2002) and sister –in-law Diane Birkett (2006).
Barb we will love and miss you till we meet again.
In lieu of other tributes, the family suggests that donations be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, care of Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton, Alberta T6G 1Z2 in memory of Barbara Lee Winter.
A Celebration of Barb life took place on September 12, 2013 at 11:00am at the Edson United Church with Rev. Kimberly Roy officiating.
