KNOOP, Anno
Anno Knoop, age 90 passed away Friday, March 20th, 2015.
He was born on June 4th, 1924 near Emmen, Holland.
He met his bride, Nellie during World War II and they married on November 18th, 1952.
Anno was, by career, a Journeyman Baker and proudly owned and operated his own business, Midtown Bakery, in Edson, Alberta for many years.
He enjoyed his time with his children and grandchildren, participating in church activities, gardening and spending time at the Lake cottage.
Anno is survived by his loving wife Nellie; along with five children: Annette McGill (Ian), Art Knoop (Edith), Meta Bachman (Andre), Marlene Von Gaza (Gunter) all of Edson, AB. and Emily Knoop – Vanderwekken of Barrhead, AB. and fourteen grandchildren: Salina (Evan), Anthony (Emma), Janelle, Joel, Ben, Chris, Samantha, Victor, Gabriella, Nico, Monica, Luke, Adam and Nathan and one great- grandchild, Addison. He was predeceased by his infant son, Jacques.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 25th, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Christian Reformed Church, 4633 – 7th Ave., Edson, AB. with Rev. Ken Douma officiating.
Interment followed in the Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, AB.
