DOHERTY, Alma Emilie Marie
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Alma Doherty, surrounded by her family and to the song of “Wings of a Dove”, at the Hinton Health Care Center
on October 6th, 2011 at the age of 57 years.
She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her husband of 30 years Ed Doherty of Hinton, Alberta and her loving children Darcy Doherty of Hinton, Alberta,
Amber Doherty and grandchildren; Natalie and Ethan of Calgary, Alberta and
Darla Doherty and grandchildren; Cyenna and Aaron of Hinton, Alberta.
She leaves behind her parents Antoine and Marie Roussel, two sisters and two brothers; Laurent (Becky) Roussel and family of McBride, British Columbia, Armand (Tammy) Roussel and family of Hinton, Alberta, Lorraine (Roger) Dubrule and family of Edmonton, Alberta, Lucy Ball and family of Hinton, Alberta and very special friend Becky (Gilbert) Leonard and family of Hinton, Alberta. Also surviving is Alma’s Godmother Juliette Perreaux of Redvers, Saskatchewan and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends
Alma was predeceased by her three brothers; Ed Roussel, Robbie Roussel and
Laurent Roussel; mother and father in- law Gordon and Hazel Doherty and brothers- in- law; Jerry Ball and Bill Doherty.
Memorial services were held on October11th, 2011 at 11:00AM at Our Lady Of The Foothills Catholic Church in Hinton, Alberta with Father Brian Inglis officiating.
In lieu of other tributes, donations can be made to the Hinton Healthcare Center Cancer Clinic 1280 Switzer Drive, Hinton, Alberta T7V 1V2.
