FICHT, Alice Evelyn
Alice Evelyn Ficht passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday April 29, 2016, in Edson, Alberta at the age of 95 years. She had lived a long and full life.
She is survived by her son Glen (Donna) of Stony Plain, AB and their children Greg (Sharon), Colin, Michael, Hughena (Khalid), Billy (Jiji) and Ashley, her son Brian (Jan) of Yellowhead County, AB and his son Joe (Radhika), and her daughter Dawne (Bruce) of Airdrie, AB and their children Ryan, Laura, and David.
Alice is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, as well as 4 nieces and 3 nephews.
Alice was the last surviving member of her generation of the family.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Hedvig and Axel Nelson, her husband Herb, her sister Anna, her brother-in-law Frank, Herb’s brother Ed and his wife Kris, and Herb’s sister Jean and her husband Stan.
Following a cremation, a memorial service for Alice will take place at the Airdrie United Church, in Airdrie AB on Friday May 20th at 1:30 PM with Rev. Karen Holmes presiding.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Airdrie United Church, 212-1 Ave NE, Airdrie, AB T4B 0R4, or to the charity of your choice, in memory of Alice Ficht.
