GERING, Alexander (Alex)
We regret to announce the passing of Alex Gering, beloved husband of Josie on April 13th, 2016 in Edson, Alberta at the age of 87 years.
Besides his loving wife Josie, Alex is survived by his son Darryl (Heather Wilson) Gering and his children: Sheena Gering of Victoria, British Columbia, Sean (Alexandra) Gering and their son Oswald of Edmonton, Alberta, Kyle (Nicole) Gering and their son Raynor of Victoria, British Columbia, his son Robin (Brenda) Gering and their children, Matthew Gering of Edson, Alberta and Carley (Paul) Pearson of Victoria, British Columbia and his son Neil Gering of Edmonton, Alberta.
Also surviving are his siblings, Alma, Lawrence, Allen and Ed as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Alex was predeceased by his parents Bertha and Gustav Gering.
Following cremation, a memorial service for Alex will take place on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 at 1:00 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Edson with Rev. Kimberly Roy officiating.
In lieu of other tributes, the family suggests donations be directed to The Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta 10531 Kingsway Ave., Edmonton, Alberta T5E 4K1 in memory of Alexander Gering.
