Winifred Elizabeth (Smith) Taylor

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Winifred Elizabeth Taylor, affectionately known as "Greaty." She peacefully departed this world on July 31,2024, at the age of 102.

Greaty was the cornerstone of our family, a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who showered us all with boundless love. Her brilliance and sharp recollection were truly astounding, often leaving us in awe of her vast knowledge and cherished memories.

She was more than just a family member; she was a dear friend to many. Her warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit drew people to her, creating lasting bonds that spanned generations. Every moment spent with Greaty was a treasured memory, filled with laughter, wisdom, and love.

Her legacy lives on through her extensive family and friends, who will forever cherish the countless moments shared with her. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the incredible life she led and the profound impact she had on all of us, after all, you can't be Greaty without being great.

Greaty was predeceased by her husband, James Taylor; her daughter, Jane Marcotte; son-in-law, Terry Marcotte; as well as her parents and siblings.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life; her son, Bill Taylor, and his wife, Shelly Taylor; grandchildren Trina Halliday (TJ Halliday), Randy Marcotte (Holly Marcotte), Lacey Newman (Jason Newman), Jamie Taylor (Jodi Taylor),Terran Johnson (Jason Johnson), Brent Taylor  (Jessie Hazelwood); along with 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and one more great great grand child due to arrive in February.  She is also leaving behind her very dear friend, Beverly Kazoleas.

In accordance with Greaty's wishes, there will be no funeral. Instead, the family will honor her memory by continuing to live life with the same love, joy, and spirit she embodied every day.

Rest in peace, Greaty. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
