Kashmere, William Henry “Willie” aged 78 of Carrot Creek, AB.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Willie peacefully lost the battle on January 19, 2020 in Edson Healthcare Centre. Willie was born and raised in Kipling, SK by his parents John and Anna Kashmere. He spent his early adulthood working all over the world for Schlumberger, until meeting his partner for life, Martha, whom he spent 41 years with, building and raising a family. He built and maintained a hobby farm and ceramic shop, where he taught his son what hard work was all about.
He cherished his family and the time he spent with them.
Willie is survived by and will be greatly missed by his loving wife Martha; son Kevin (Jenna); best friend and granddaughter Alexis; grandson Andrew Rauch; his devoted and loyal fur babies Gizmo and Coco; stepsons Chris Agate and Brad Agate; step-granddaughters Sonja Bloome, Tanya Ludwig, Jessica Agate, Samantha Agate, Hailey Agate, Rosanna Agate, Danielle Agate and Madison Agate; sisters Debbie Kaczmar, Rose Murray, Peggy Beattie; brothers Robert Kaczmar, George Kaczmar; and his beloved mother Annie; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Willie loved being a jokester almost as much as he loved fishing. Either in his boat or on the ice in his hut with his wife by his side, he was a fisherman.
He was predeceased by his father, John Kashmere.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on February 15, 2020 at the Carrot Creek Community Hall from 1pm-4pm.
