In loving memory of Wilfred Albert Rupert, who passed away peacefully on November 8, 2020 at the age of 87, in Yellowhead County, AB.
Wilf was born in Wetaskiwin, AB and raised in the Millet area. He moved to Edson, AB in 1960, opened a Shell Service Station and started ranching in the Yellowhead County close to Peers, as well.
Wilf spent many hours in the saddle either working the Ranch or rodeoing, fishing, hunting and, as you all know, you could stop by any time for a game of pool or cards as long as you had a few loose Loonies you didn’t mind losing.
Left to mourn his loss was his longtime partner Edith Schreiner and her family: daughters Monica and Barbara as well as son Fred; sons Albert Rupert (Pam), Clinton Rupert (Wendy), brother Alfred Patrick Rupert, sister Marylou Priestley Wright (Fred), sister-in-law Helen Rupert, 9 Grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
Wilf was predeceased by his father Lloyd Rupert, mother Ellen Rupert, brother Ed Rupert, brother-in-law Les McAuley, sister Marguerite McAuley and sister-in-law Lil Rupert.
We love you Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Partner and Friend!
A man with many titles.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
