With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Wilfred on January 13, 2025, at the age of 82 in Hinton, Alberta. He is lovingly missed by his daughter Cindy (Darcy) Boutin, Sierra (Trenton) Boutin, Parker, Leo, Colton (Megan) Boutin, Kennedy, Braxton, son Wayne Dyck, Mason (Sydney), Kaelyn, son Scott (Tracey) Dyck, Kenna, Caleb, daughter Charlene Scott, Ayla(Beau)Janssens, Benee, Arie Houston.
He is predeceased by his parents and 11 siblings.
Born to Henry and Agatha Dyck, on January 22, 1942, in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan. Wilfred and his twin brother Edward were the largest set of twins born in Saskatchewan and held the record for many years. He grew up and worked as a farm hand and labourer in and around that same area, until moving on to Saskatoon where he had a job making cement drainage pipes for 12 years. He moved his family to Hinton, following his two brothers in the fall of 1973 where he was employed at Cardinal River Coals as a serviceman and forklift operator up until he retired in 2007.
Wilfred had a love for fishing, camping and tinkering around in his garage. He was always quick to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was also known for his cooking ability especially is cookies. He always had his side kick Sadie the dog along side him and after she passed, he gained his second side kick Ceaser.
