On October 9, 2023, Walter passed peacefully away in Hinton, AB.
He worked until retirement for CNR, later becoming a councilor for 16 years for the MD of Yellowhead County.
Walter was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, son Steven, daughter Linda, son in laws Ernie and Fred, brother Berton and sister Inez.
He is survived by his daughter Dianne, daughter in law Joan, daughter Audrey (Barry), son David (Bonnie), Walter's grandchildren Tim (Vikki), Ronnie (Shirley), Allan (Kelley), Blaine (Brenda), Melanie (Trevor), Heather (Tom), Daniel, Tammy (Curtis), Richard (Dee), Michelle (Richard), Kathy (Justin), Fritz (Lana), Carrie (Trevor), Amber (Dustin), Dereck (Shannon), Adam (Lori), Ryan, Chantelle (Allan), Owen (Kerri) and Wayne (Patti).
He is also survived by many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 21, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Robb Community Hall.
