Terance Bryant Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we said goodbye to our hero: husband, father, and papa.

Terance Wayne Bryant passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024, at the Hinton Healthcare Centre at the age of 78. He was surrounded by loved ones who will be eternally grateful for his unconditional love.

Terry was the second son to Charles and Minnie Bryant, brother to Les and Jack, cousin to many and a friend to everyone he met.

T.W. forever had a twinkle in his eye, a laugh that could fill a room with happiness and a limerick always waiting to be told. His playful personality always made time for others, especially the numerous little cousins, nieces and nephews who all took turns wrestling with Terry. Most of those playful sessions ended with kids jumping on Terry’s stomach and him playfully surrendering to being “pinned” down.

Terry worked on the pipeline in Whitecourt, AB., and that is where he found the love of his life, Greta. They enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Leading by example, their marriage was one for the record books. Never leaving each other's sides and standing even stronger together during the rough times.

Raising two children, Lori-Anne and Wayne, was one of Terry’s greatest accomplishments. Terry was always ready for whatever challenges the kids may have presented, such as Lori driving the tractor into the dugout, or Wayne popping the large tire on the tractor that dad had just replaced.

Greta was forever and proudly by his side throughout the years of farming in Manitoba to moving back out west where Terry enjoyed many years operating heavy equipment around the Hinton area. There are not many backroads you can travel on that he hasn’t been a part of the reclamation. Many great years were enjoyed on the hills of Highway 40 south.

Leaving behind to carry on his memory with pride is his wife Greta, daughter Lori-Anne (Kim Frattinger) and son Wayne (Tracey) Bryant; grandchildren Charlsie (Jedd) Leeson, Colby (Julie) Frattinger, Kendra (Deacon) Bryant, Terri-Lynn (Chase) Bryant and Colton Bryant, as well as great grandchildren Cooper and Millie Leeson.

Terry will be forever missed by so many more.

The family wishes to thank the amazing staff on the 3rd floor at the Pine Valley Lodge, Dr. Findlay, nurses and staff at the Hinton Hospital and MaryAnn Shopa. Your kindness and gentleness at our greatest time of need will not be forgotten.

As per Terry’s request the family will host a gathering at Bridges Hall in Hinton, AB, on September 28th at 12:00 pm.  Please join us as we share memories and laughter together in honor of our dad.

On October 13th the family invites you to join us in Miniota, MB, at the Community Hall as we host a Celebration of Life and bring Terry back home.

In lieu of flowers the family is purchasing an electric wheelchair, in hopes it gives another family the enjoyment of going places with their loved ones.

Donations can be sent to lorikim1@telus.net.
