Obituary
Sylvia Homeniuk passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 6th, 2023, at the age of 73.
Sylvia is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 52 years, John. She is also remembered by daughter Christie Homeniuk (Mark Robinson) and granddaughter, Marley Robinson of Whitecourt. As well, left to mourn her loss is her dear sister, Sheila Boarer (Alan) of Westlock. Her memory will also be cherished by her nephews and nieces, Sheryl (Burgie) Kiehlbauch of Okotoks, Larry (Barb) McGuire of Kelowna, Tim (Nicole) Boarer of Westlock, and Tara Boarer of St. Albert. In addition, she will be missed by many great nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Marilyn Oishi (Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, MRPCN), Dr. Rudi Gous, and the acute care staff at the Edson Healthcare Centre, for the wonderful and empathetic care they provided to Sylvia in her final days.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm. on Saturday August 26th at the Edson Seniors Pioneer Cabin (4836-7th Ave. Edson, Alberta) with Interment and Luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton Alberta.
