Stacey Dawn Belcourt passed away on June 13, 2025, in Edson, Alberta, at the age 51, in the arms of her Mother, Loretta Belcourt and surrounded by eleven members of her family including her sister, Leisa Belcourt and brother Kirby Belcourt.
Stacey was born in Grande Cache, AB, on January 30th, 1974, where she spent the majority of her life. She was a beloved member of the Grande Cache community and an honorary graduate of the Grande Cache Community High School. Stacey played a large part in the Native Community and held her indigenous heritage close by continuously taking part in traditional ceremonies as well as mastering the art of Métis Jigging. Stacey performed on stage, as she always loved to do, in Grande Prairie, AB, to the music of one of her favourite artists, Michael Jackson, at a local talent show. At three years of age, Stacey walked as a model in a fashion show for the Winnifred Stewart School which was, at the time, associated with the Edmonton Eskimos. Stacey spent the last years of her life in Edson, AB, with her mother Loretta and sister Leisa.
Stacey was preceded in death by her brother Blaine Belcourt, cousin Matthew Michaud, cousin Bradley Belcourt, uncles Bradley and Larry Belcourt, auntie Gayle McKenzie, grandmother Edith Belcourt and grandfather William Belcourt.
She is survived by Loretta Ann Belcourt (mother), Leisa Belcourt (sister), Kirby Belcourt (brother), Crystal Belcourt (sister-in-law), Brett Basnett (nephew, son of Kirby), Christian and Brielle Basnett (son and daughter, respectively, of Brett), Larissa Gillis (daughter of Crystal Belcourt), Emmett and Violet (son and daughter, respectively, of Larissa Gillis), Damon Belcourt (nephew, son of Kirby and Crystal), Skylor Belcourt (sister), and Danny McMordie (love of her life).
Pallbearers are Leah Locheed (cousin), Marissa Fearnside (Auntie), Dale Locheed Jr (cousin), Damon Belcourt (nephew), Brett Basnett (nephew), James Todd Jr (cousin)
Honorary Pallbearers are Kirby Belcourt (brother), David Fearnside (Uncle), and James Todd Sr (Uncle)

Wake Service will be held at 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 19th, 2025, at the Marlboro Community Hall.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 20th, 2025, at the Marlboro Community Hall.
Interment will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Grande Cache Cemetery.
