Shawn Matthew Hine

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Shawn Matthew Hine (38) of Edson, Alberta. Shawn passed away at home, on the acreage, on February 26, 2024, with his feathered friend Joey, his conure friend, by his side.
Shawn was born on March 21, 1985, in Regina, Saskatchewan. He resided on the farm near Alida, Saskatchewan, until 1990, when he moved into Alida.  In August 1993, he moved to Edson, Alberta, with his mom and two sisters.
Shawn will be remembered for his love of animals, birds, fish, his amazing blue eyes, and his contagious laugh.
He is survived and missed by his mom Linda Hine, His sisters Angela (Jay Bishop), nieces Chelsy and Alexandria, his brother Shayne of Carievale, Saskatchewan, sister Trisha (Gord Thibault), nephews Kodah and Kaicer, as well as his dad, Wayne Hine, of Alida, Saskatchewan. He will also be missed by special friends, Tyler Krysta, Grace Charbonneau, and Mike Wilson, along with lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and acquaintances.
Shawn was pre-deceased by both maternal and paternal grandparents., an infant brother Christopher (1972), his uncle Garth Hine and uncle Brian Fossheim.
Shawn rescued his dog Bentley, they became inseparable. He was devastated to lose his faithful canine friend in 2019. Life was never the same after that.
