On October 22, 1958, A beautiful angel was gifted to this world, her name was Sandi (Sandra) Lee Wright. Sandi was the first of two children born to Harold and Elsie Wright in Wainwright Alberta.
The family lived in Irma, where her dad Harold was a welder for North Western Utilities. Harold was offered a position in Hinton, and they decided to make the move in 1972. Sandi graduated from Harry Collinge High School in Hinton, Alberta.
In 1976 Sandi became a mom at a young age, she had a beautiful little baby girl named Melody. With her little baby she moved to Edson to take an administrative college course, she of course passed that with flying colors. She moved back to Hinton and worked at King Drug, until she got on at Hinton Pulp in a temporary position.
She met Dino Brown in 1980. In 1981 they bought a house in Cardale, where they got married in their yard with tons of friends and family around. In 1983 They welcomed a beautiful baby boy Kyle into their lives. A few years later, in 1986, a beautiful baby girl named Brianne joined the family. In 1986 the family moved to Tumbler Ridge B.C. where Dino took a job at the mine. They moved back to Hinton in 1987. Sandi again started back as a temp at the pulp mill.
Sandi and the kids moved to Leduc in 1989/90, to spend time with her uncle Jim until his passing.
In 1991, she and the kids moved back to Hinton where she again worked as a temp in the offices at the mill. Sandi was hired permanently in 1993. She worked in many different departments during her 30 plus years in the mill. She always had treats for her coworkers, at the mill she will probably forever be remembered as Sugar Momma.
Sandi had a zest for life and loved to try new things. Dogs were one of her passions, she loved music and packing up her old motorhome and heading to festivals. You could find her at Ma-Me-O beach every summer, she would sit in the water with her besties and enjoy the long summer days.
She had more talents than most people. Her ability to paint was phenomenal, she painted EVERYTHING!
She could add life to any old thing with a stroke of a paintbrush.
Sandi spent 10 years in a relationship with Mike Meilleur and he still remains a part of their lives.
There was nothing more important to her than her family.
She is survived by her children Melody (Freeman) MacLeod of Hinton, Kyle Brown of Wizard Lake and Brianne (Ryan) Callihoo of Hinton.
Her grandbabies were the light of her life: Adryan and Rayann MacLeod, Fynn and Sawyer Brown, Calvin and Emmitt Gulewich, as well as the newest addition Wylder Callihoo.
Her loss is also felt by her brother Mark (Colleen) and nieces Janessa and Kayla and their families.
Sandi was predeceased by her dad Harold in 1987, and her mom Elsie in 2020.
Sandi had an extended family that she welcomed with open arms in 1995, when her mom Elsie married Albert Klingbeil along with his children Kelly, Murray, Garry, Melanie and their families.
Love you to the moon and back a million billion zillion times, over and over.
