Rowan Armon Wasney

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rowan Armon Wasney on September 2nd, 2023, in Edson, Alberta. Rowan was born on January 5th, 1995, in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

As a child rowan was so full of energy, creativity and smart. He was very loving, caring and understanding. He may have gone through some struggles throughout life, but he always tried to persevere the best way that he could. The community enjoyed him and loved him, and he could put a smile on everybody’s face if they were having a bad day. Rowan loved his daughter Aaliyah so much and he would do anything for his child. He had an energy about him that when you met him, you knew you had made a friend for life.

Surviving family members that were close to Rowan are Aaliyah Cardinal Wasney (daughter) of Edson Alberta, Sherry Wasney ( mother) of Stony Plain, Alberta, Tina Wasney ( maternal aunt) of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Tom Wasney (maternal uncle) of Edmonton, Alberta, Joy Burton Wasney (maternal grandmother) of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Kai Wasney (maternal cousin) of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Dallas Wasney-Anderson (maternal cousin) of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta and Jessa Wasney (maternal cousin) of Hinton, Alberta.

Deceased before him was Allan Wasney (maternal grandfather) from Edson, Alberta.

A Celebration Of Life will be held for Rowan at a later date.
