Rose Marie Gwen Fergusson

It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Rose Marie Gwen Fergusson (Hall) at the age of 69. She passed away on May 8th, 2026, in the Edson Hospital.

Rose was born on April 4th, 1957, in New Westminster, British Columbia to Simmone and Kenneth Hall. Rose was the third child of four daughters. Rose lived most of her life in many places in British Columbia and worked many places. In September 2024 she moved to Edson, Alberta to be closer to her two sons and their families.

In British Columbia Rose loved working and hanging out in the fruit and berry farms. She loved picking, sharing and of course eating the sweet berries and fruits. She also loved adventures, camping trips to the Okanogan area and visiting Stanley Park to see the ocean. When Rose moved to Edson Alberta, she loved BBQs and outings with her two sons and their families. She loved helping her oldest with his garden as well. Rose was definitely a nature girl, always wanting to be outdoors.

Rose is survived by her two sons, Kenneth (Kenny) Fergusson (Gail Agate and her two daughters) and Thomas (Tommy) Fergusson (Kelly Fergusson and her daughter) all from Edson, Alberta. Her granddaughter Elizabeth Fergusson of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, and her best friend and life partner Rolly Flaurant and their kitty cat Clyde of Edson, Alberta. Rose has three surviving sisters, Lin, Irene and Lisa all of British Columbia. As well as many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews.

Rose is predeceased by her 18-month-old son Jamie Fergusson (Tommy’s twin) in 1981. As well by her mother Simmone, in 2001 and her father Kenneth, in 2003.

There will be no viewing or service in Edson or British Columbia at this time. Plans are in the works for Edson and British Columbia in the future and will be posted on Facebook when it is set in stone.
