Rena (Gambin) Mizera

Our loving mother, Rena Mizera, passed away in Edson on January 6th, 2025, just days short of her 89th birthday.

Rena was born and raised in Cadomin, Alberta, the eldest of 3 girls, to Peter and Louise Gambin. She was always close to and loved her sisters, Rita and Roma.

Rena met the love of her life and beloved husband, Allen Mizera, in Mercoal, Alberta. So, the coal branch always held a very special place in her heart. For the past 65 years, Rena and Allen called Edson home.

Rena was always a classy lady with a beautiful presence. Her passion was her family, which her arms were always wide open for.

Definition of Rena: Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and to all a Forever Very Special Friend.

                We will miss her greatly. Rena will forever live on in our hearts.

Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are her children, Chris (Cheryl) Mizera, Tina Mizera, Larry

(Marlene) Mizera, daughter-in-law Debbie Mizera and her grandchildren Darwin (Paula) Mizera,

Michael (Christina) Mizera, Kristy Newbury, Chelsea (Marc) Baudin, Jessica (Shayne) Kuffner, Travis

(Jane) Mizera and Shayleen Mizera, as well as 12 great grandchildren and her sister, Roma Anderson.

Preceded in passing by her loving husband, Allen Mizera, son Rick Mizera, grandson Jordan Mizera and sister Rita Lauridsen.        

A Funeral Service will be held at the Foothills Memorial Chapel in Edson, Alberta, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM with interment to follow at the Glenwood Cemetery.
