Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Prosper Foisy (Ray), with his daughter Dianne by his side, on October 14, 2023, in Edson at the Continuing Care Centre – Birch.

Ray was born in St. Paul, Alberta, to Gilbert and Yvonne Foisy on June 10, 1941.

Ray was a GM Partsman for most of his life. He knew part numbers like the back of his hand. He loved his job and GM products.

He loved camping, fishing and most of all he loved playing cards. He was always up for a game of cards, it didn’t matter with who, when, or where. And when there was no one, he was fine playing Solitaire. He also kept a sense of humor Ray will be sadly missed and forever remembered by daughters Dianne (Simon) Plamondon, of Edson, Denise (Lyle) Cox, of Prince George, their mom Shirley Nelson, of Leamington, Ontario, brother Leo, brother-in-law Ron Nordin, grandchildren David-Lee Edbom , Amanda (Chris) Slager, Shawn Cox, Stacey Cox, great-grandchildren Colby, Maliki, Avery and Isla, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ray was predeceased by brothers Maurice and Andrew, sisters Leona and Doreen, sisters-in-law Yvonne and Leona, nephews Paul and Norman.

Cremation has taken place, but there will be no formal Service held.
