Celebrating Oliver Myhre
Myhre Oliver Harold
October 31, 1933 – July 14, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Oliver Harold Myhre. Oliver passed away at the Hinton General Hospital, in Hinton, Alberta, on Tuesday, July 14th at the age of 86.
Oliver was born in Kingman, Alberta where he spent his childhood years.
Oliver moved to Hinton, Alberta in 1958 and began his career at Northwestern Pulp and Power at 23 years of age. This career led him to starting his own sharpening and forestry service business which he ran until his retirement.
One year after his move to Hinton, he married the love of his life Yvonne and here they began their lifetime together in Hinton, Alberta.
Many things brought joy to Oliver’s life; family, friends and the acreage the family still calls home. Oliver enjoyed all his time spent here (at Spruce Acres) from 1967 until his passing.
Oliver is survived by his loving wife Yvonne of 61 years; children, Shane (Pauline) and Stacey (Darren); his grandchildren that brought him so much joy; Shaylene, Brett and Shelby(Phaelan); brothers; Floyd(Helen), Alfie(Lydia); sister; Mabel; special family member; Gilbert Delisle(Michelle).
Oliver was predeceased by his parents John and Ellen, siblings; infant twins Ruth and Gunner, brother Harry, sisters Evelyn and Esther.
In accordance to Oliver’s wishes, no services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Oliver may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
