Michael Walter Zack

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael (Mike) Walter Zack on Thursday, July 9, 2020 in Grande Cache, Alberta at the age of 87. Mike was survived by his children, Brenda, Barb, Tim, Bernice and Beverly, along with his sister Helen. He was predeceased by his parents (John and Anna), brothers Steve, Joseph and wife Marlene. Mike was born in Krasne, Saskatchewan on February 2, 1933. He lived and worked on farms in Krasne, Richard and Winyard Saskatchewan. Winyard is where he met then married Marlene (Constantinescu) on May 16, 1964. They lived in various locations in Saskatchewan, British Columbia then eventually finding their tranquil forever home in Grande Cache, Alberta in 2003. They had a paper route, but you would also find them around town doing repairs and yard work. Marlene passed away May 17, 2007 leaving Mike and their faithful little dog Cheyanne, to continue lawn care and snow clearing for friends and neighbors. He liked watching sports but loved curling! Mike was an avid curler at the local arena in Grande Cache. He was lighthearted and always had a smile on his face, he will be deeply missed by family and friends. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held for Mike on a later date.
