It is with profound sadness that the family of Maureen Anne Harapiak announce her passing on September 1, 2020, the day before her 73rd birthday.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Walter and their 3 children Tanys Harapiak, Tracey (Dylan) Putzenberger and Bradley (Tina) Harapiak. She was a very proud Baba to her 8 grandchildren Lindsi (Clayton), Dylan, Tennille, Davin, Riley, Taylor (Steve), Croy, Kyler and great grandson Grayson. She loved sharing stories about every one of them.
She shared a special bond with her sister Cathy (Marlow) Wrolstad and will be missed by her nephews Todd, Chad and their families.
She will not be forgotten by her loving inlaws, nieces and nephews and a host of long time friends.
Maureen was predeceased by her mother Mary O’Callaghan, Father Jerome Hagan, Stepfather Allan O’Callaghan and father-and-mother-inlaw Wasyl and Mary Harapiak.
Born in St. Catharines, Ontario, Maureen spent many years raising her family in Atikokan, ON. Before moving to Edson in 1979.
After 36 years as the librarian at the Vanier Community Catholic School, Maureen recently retired. The decision to retire did not come easy as she loved her job, her co-workers and reading to the students. We are sure her heart and soul will carry on in those books.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us September 5th at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in remembering Maureen.
Due to COVID 19 masks will be required.
