Maureen Claire Gaschnitz (Moe) aged 78 of Edson, Alberta, peacefully passed away on September 4th, 2024. Born to her mother Cavelle Olive Nelson and sister to Lorna Brown.
Maureen was an adventurous spirit who travelled to multiple places in her many fields of work, from Prince George, Calgary, Vancouver and even lived and worked in Reno, Nevada. In her travels she met and married Glenn Gaschnitz on November 3rd, 1978, in Edmonton, Alberta. They lived in Swan Hills and Slave Lake before moving back to Edson, where they bought a farm and settled down to raise their two children Shannon and Wade.
She was a very hard-working woman, with a great sense of humor. Loved playing cards, curling, making people laugh and was an amazing cook, who enjoyed feeding people.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Shannon Foreman (Shane Foreman), granddaughter Jordan Murdick (Devon), son Wade Gaschnitz (ex-wife Andrea), granddaughter Kaila Zacharias (Jesse), granddaughter Ava Gaschnitz and grandson Liam Gaschnitz.
She was predeceased by her husband Glenn Gaschnitz and grandson Jody Murdick.
We wish for you to join us at the Edson Pioneer Cabin, on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
