Marlene Campbell, 68, passed away in Edmonton at the U of A hospital on May 12, 2023.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Chuck (Sheri), son-in-law Rueben (Sharon), Grandchildren, Kristi, Jeff, Triston, Dylan and Megan, Olivia, Devan; 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Ellen (Bruce), Jean (Tom), Sharon (Wally), sisters-in-law Val, Lillian.
Marlene is predeceased by her parents Hanna and Ken, Husband Doug, daughter Sharmon and brothers Norman, Mike.
Marlene was born September 20, 1954 to Ken and Hannah Palmer in Grande Prairie, Alberta. She met Doug in 1969 then got married June 26, 1971. In May of 1972 they moved to Grande Cache. Marlene worked as a hairdresser until her first child (Chuck) was born in 1975, then in 1976 her daughter (Sharmon) was born. Marlene started working at the provincial jail when it opened in the mid 1980s for over 10 years until she had to take early retirement due to medical issues.
Marlene loved camping during the summer and heading to Mexico in the winter. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marlene will be deeply missed by family and friends.
