Marilyn May Rigby

Marilyn May Rigby was born in Vancouver on March 29, 1954, to Dorothy May Hanson and Ernest Van Osborne Hanson.

She was the first born of three children, brothers Gordon and Donald followed later. Marilyn grew up in Vancouver, Nelson and Stettler. Marilyn trusted Jesus Christ as her Saviour in early childhood and never looked back. She attended Capernwray Torchbearers Discipleship School in Germany and Vancouver Bible Institute in Vancouver, BC.

Marilyn was an accomplished keypunch data entry admin with Fisher Scientific.

In 1974 she met Steve Rigby and they were married in March of 1975. They have two children, Sharlene, who is married to Justin Anderson, and Joshua, who is married to Meagan. They have two children Hadassah and Joelle.

Marilyn served faithfully beside her husband as a pastor's wife for 39 years untill their retirement in March of 2021.

Marilyn was ushered through the gates of heaven Friday April 15th, Good Friday, and experienced the resurrected life in Jesus that evening.

Marilyn was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Donald.

Marilyn leaves her loving family behind --her husband, her brother and his family, her daughter and son-law, her son and daughter-law and her two much loved granddaughters.

Marilyn will leave an empty place in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

To God be the glory for a life well lived.

We grieve to be sure but not without the sure and certain hope of a grand reunion on the other side of Jordan!

A Graveside Service will be held at the Glory Hills Cemetery near Stony Plain, Alberta on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM

with a Memorial Service to follow at the Spruce Grove Alliance Church in Spruce Grove, Alberta at 1:00 PM
