Marguerite Kathleen Nordholm passed away suddenly at the age of 83 in Edson, AB, on August 2, 2025.
Marg was born on a cold day in January 1942 at the family farm near Vicount, Sk, to Jim and Julia Palfy. She was the oldest of 9 children. She went to school for 10 years at St. Alphonse school and 2 years at Sion Academy. She went on to get her teaching degree.
In 1961 she went on a blind date and met Marvin, and life was never the same. They moved several times before settling in Hinton, AB, n the 70's. This is where they raised her 3 girls, Judy, Loretta and Michelle. In the late 80's they moved to Edmonton and at retirement time they moved to Wildwood, AB. After Marvin passed on, she moved to Edson, AB, where she remained.
Marg enjoyed many things: camping, fishing, berry picking, canning, bowling and many crafts. She also loved to paint. She loved to entertain family and friends. She was the happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
Marg leaves behind her 3 girls, Judy (Casey), Loretta (Gerald) and Michelle, her siblings, Lou (Kit) Palfy, Marianne Stone, Bonnie Palfy, Robert Palfy and Rose Marie Palfy.
She had 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Jim and Julia Palfy, her husband Marvin Nordholm, her siblings Pauline Holland, Daniel Palfy, Raymond Palfy, in-laws Fred and Vi Nordholm, Dave and Bea Dickson, Trevor and Vern Nordholm, Larry Stone, Fred Clozza, Mel Palfy.
A Memorial will take place on August 29th, 2025, in Edson, AB. at the Lions Hall at 11:30 AM.
