On Sunday morning May 21, 2023, our mom Margaret Graham went home to be with the lord. It was something she looked forward to and spoke of often. Mom was born on December 6, 1940, in Montreal Quebec to parents William and Fanny Graham and baby sister to Albert and Wilma. In 1962 she married our dad Bob Babcock and had Marie and Ken. In 1969 they moved to Edson, Alberta and not to long after had their third child Roberta (Bobbie-Jo). After their marriage ended mom went on to marry Ralph Nixon, then after his passing Norman Van Koughnett. Mom lived in Edson until she felt that the lord was moving her to Kamloops, British Columbia in 2002. It was decided in 2017 that mom would be moved back to Niton Junction where she lived with her daughter Roberta, then later into Parkland Lodge. In 2020 mom was diagnosis with Parkinson’s and Dementia and from there moved into Continuing Care in Edson, Alberta.
Two weeks ago, mom was evacuated to Jasper, the moved proved to be too hard for her. Left to not only mourn her but to laugh and remember the funny things about her are her children: Marie (Cory) Boudreault, Ken (Sue) Babcock, Roberta (Rick) VanDyk and stepdaughter Shirley Jensen and family, her daughter in-law Darla Nixon. Also, her Grandchildren: Christina (Greg), Jessica (Justin), Joshua, Melissa (Rich), Ryan (Chelsea), Randal (Arora) Cory, Kaitlyn (Jace), Rayla (Brendan), 13 great grandchildren. Her brother Albert and his family, sister Wilma and her family, her very special friend Margo, who would always bring her chocolates and her sister in-law Debbie Hartt.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Fanny Graham, her husbands Bob, Ralph and Norman. She was also predeceased by numerous brother and sister in-laws, a stepson Randy Nixon and stepdaughter Valerie Nixon and mother and father in-law’s Marg and Reg Arsenault, and John and Evelyn Nixon.
There will be no service.
