Lorraine May (Burkinshaw) Wheat

Lorraine passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, at the Edson Health Care Centre, with family at her side.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Perry Wheat, son, Nathan Wheat, stepson, Nigel Wheat (Regan Stang), grandchildren, Moya Wheat, Rankin Wheat, stepdaughter, Brenna Wheat, grandchildren, Remmington Wheat, Lyra Clancy Wheat. She is also survived by her brother, Mervin (Sandra) Burkinshaw, sisters, Marlene Bovy and Rosanne Wilton, sister-in-law Beth Burkinshaw, an uncle, Walter Burkinshaw, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lorraine is predeceased by her parents Howard and Hazel Burkinshaw, brother Gordon Burkinshaw, brothers-in-law Richard Stelfox, Paul Bovy, Brian Wilton.

Lorraine will be very much missed by us all but leaves many good memories for us to cherish.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the Edson Health Care Centre staff for their wonderful care, and to the many friends, relatives and neighbors for their support and kind thoughts.

There will be a Memorial for Lorraine at the Edson Legion on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with a luncheon to follow.  All are welcome to stay for a time of fellowship.  Plates of goodies ready to serve are welcome.
