Lois Margaret (Irvine) LeBoeuf

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Lois Margaret LeBoeuf. Lois passed away peacefully with her family by her side in Hinton, Alberta on June 20, 2021. Lois will be dearly missed by those of us fortunate enough to have had her in our lives and will always be remembered for being genuinely kind and caring and always having the time to stop and talk.

Lois was born on December 10, 1944 to Margaret and Lionel Irvine at their home in Flatlands, New Brunswick. Lois grew up in a full house with ten other siblings, their home was always filled with love and laughter. She met her husband Rene “Herb” LeBoeuf in 1967 while working together in Campbellton, New Brunswick. They moved out West to Hinton in 1977 with their two young children, Tim and Tanya.

Lois settled into a nice life in Hinton, she loved the mountains, growing her flowers, visiting with her family and friends and cheering for the Montreal Canadians. If there was ever anything you wanted to know about the Montreal Canadians, Lois was the best source to go to as she was their biggest fan.

Lois stayed at home while her children were young and was a true domestic goddess, she enjoyed making home cooked meals and was always baking. Lois did have a few different jobs after her children were older, the one she loved the most was working at Pine Valley Lodge where she helped to look after the residents who lived there. She loved talking with the residents and listening to all the stories they had to tell.

After the passing of her husband Herb and years of a family friendship Lois became a life partner with Doug Goertzen. Many camping and fishing trips were enjoyed and travels to the east coast to visit her family that she so dearly missed. Lois loved spending time with Doug’s three children and all of his grandchildren.

Lois will be deeply missed by her partner, Doug Goertzen, children, Tim LeBoeuf, Tanya and Scott Tymchyshyn, grandsons, Ryder and Sawyer, mother, Margaret Irvine, brothers, Bertie, Deering, Jarvis, Vaughan and her sister, Debbie (Wilson), along with Gary Goertzen (Shelley) and his children Brenden and Alex, Art Goertzen and his children Ashlee and Kaitlyn, Vanessa and Shawn Ergang and their children, Tiana, Kyra and Kaleb, along with countless friends and family.

Lois was predeceased by her husband, Rene “Herb” LeBoeuf, father, Lionel Irvine, brothers, Gary, Lewis, sisters, Zelda, Glennis and Ardith.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Lois on July 24, 2021 at the Hinton Community Center starting at 2:00 pm, everyone is welcome.
