Lil was the 2nd oldest of 4 children born to Harry and Nancy Kowal April 20, 1935 in Radway, AB. They eventually made their way west to Luscar and Mercoal, where she began her adventurous life, from ‘borrowing” horses to tackling driving the coal branch roads.
She married Steve Prylowski in November 1955 and began her life in Edson.
There are 4 children: Linda (Ron) Wells, Brenda (Phil) Smith, Jo-Ann (Dale) and Butch (Ellen) Prylowski.
As well, there are 7 grandchildren: Tracy (Al) Tyson Wells, Linsay (Ross) Stelter, Jenilee (Rick) Roman, Kiera Rupert,Jeff (Natasha) Smith and Greg (Lindsay) Smith.
Lil was also lucky to have had 8 great grandchildren: Teya and Rya Roman, Jett Stelter, Hannah, Mackenzie and Preslie Smith, Bennett and Burke Smith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lil and Steve were devoted to their family. Together they founded and operated Steve’s Trucking, a family based business. Lil was very devoted to the Edson Community, between her singing, baseball, Rodeo Parades and sled racing.
She had such a love for life, always had a positive word of encouragement or a comment to make you laugh. Family and friends truly were her life.
Steve entered into rest on April 25, 2011.
Lil was survived by her brother Ernie Kowal and sister Gloria Tymchuk and predeceased by her brother Bud Kowal.
A Memorial Service will be held for Lillian on March 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion in Edson, AB.
