Lillian Eva Marie Boutin

Lillian was born in Geraldton, Ontario to Eva Vermette and Albert Boutin. Lillian became a big sister to Francois in 1954. In 1956, the Boutin family relocated to Hinton, Alberta. Lillian had two more siblings, Robert and Jacqueline, join her and Francois in 1959 and 1964, respectively. She spent her formative years in school between Morinville and Hinton.

In 1971, Lillian married Terry Schooley in Edmonton, Alberta. They made their home in Hinton. They welcomed their first son, Clifton, in August 1971. In August 1974, they welcomed their daughter, Rosalie. Lillian gave birth to her last child, Damon, in June 1976. Lillian loved spending time in the garden with her children and teaching them how nature could be healing.

Terry and Lillian separated ways in 1978 after which she spent time between Edmonton, Hinton, and Vancouver. She came back to live in Hinton in 2008 until her death in 2023.

Lillian loved nature in all its abundance and beauty. She could be seen walking everywhere and taking in the sights and sounds in her environment. While she was a private person, those she let into her heart and space were loved in her special way. She loved music which could be attributed to the piano lessons she took as a child. She enjoyed her time in her garden growing food for her table and for others. She spent many hours reading and educating herself on natural remedies for health and natural health care techniques.

Lillian was predeceased by her parents, Eva and Albert, her daughter Collette, and ex-spouse, Terry.

Lillian is survived by her children: Clifton (Purnama Dewi), Rosalie (Joe Mellott), and Damon (Paula); her grandchildren: Darius, Tori, Makyla, Levi, Walker, William, Grayson, Jackson, and Benedict; her siblings: Francois (Jocelyn), Robert (Denise), Jacqueline (Wayne Fenton); her nieces and nephews: Natasha, Amanda, Natasha, Tanya, Marc-Andre, Roxanne, Tyson, Corlee, Brice, Kari, Tanya, Kyle; great nieces and nephews: Austin, Keiran, Jenna, Daxton, Breck, Rhys, Calla, Sylvie, Elise, Evelyn, Rosalie, Toren, Sami, and Calli; and her faithful friend: Peter Fischer.
